Talked with my local dealer today, I was quoted 1,400.00 to up grade my cams (dont remember which ones) I have pretty much stock 2006 RKC with V&H big shots and fuel moto management control., the hydrolic oil something and change cam tensioner to hydrolic, this is parts and labor, is this ok price???? Ijust have to contact fuel moto for new map if I get work done thanks. Dale

Dale...Find out which cams( 204, 255, what?),see if they said hydraulic lifters, confirm hydraulic cam chain tensioner. Then do a little search and see how little all this really costs. You have the slipons and some kind of FM fuel managment...maybe a PC III? Do you have a high flow air cleaner? Running stock headers? Why wait, call FM now and see what kind of map they have for your combo. They might even offer some advice if you ask. Good luck.
This is something that you can most likely do yourself with a little patience, a manual, and some helps from the forum. ATrain has some good threads on replacing cams and there is a great video on youtube which walks you through it step by step.
Even with new bearings, adjustable pushrods, cams, gasket and o-ring kit, and bearing removal/install tools you're probably looking at $400-$500 (depending on cams). Watch the above mentioned video and see what you think. At the end of the day, though, its your ride, right
