Default 1990 FLHTCU compatibility?

I got a 1990 FLTCH. I like to know which years did they have the same fairing? I need to relace my inner fairing.

how hard is to upgrade to a newer model? I understand that Im going to need new gauges.

that fairing up to and incl. 1995. from 1985 I think

swaps, check the classified here ( Evos)

to swap to new, you'd need to be handy with wiring ( all the new stuff uses different connectors) gauges, new radio maybe depending on the year of the donor, inner and outer fairing, fairing mounts and braces etc. etc.

Same outer fairing used from 1986 to 1995.
Inner was from 1986/87 and 1988/95. (Radio changed in 1988)
58198-86 Fairing, outer (Primed)
58196-88 Fairing, inner (black) 1988-95
58210-88 Fairing, inner (brown) 1988-95
Note: all are obsolete but there may be some stored away at some dealer.

Both Inner and outer fairing changed in 1996 when the radio again changed. The newest changed will not fit pre-1996 front forks without major changes that are also used. It would include wiring, gages, ignition switch, top triple tree and the fork lock. To make the fork lock work will require the modification of the top of the frame where the stud comes down for the lock.
