I put a Big Sucker on ( yes the bolts came with Loc Tite on them ) and had one come loose ( fall out ) on the way home from the Smokies last year ... cost me $9.50 for another bolt .... plus shipping ... they ( Ness ) said they were selling a lot of "replacement bolts' .... hmmmm .... and yes I did both the the initial and replacement bolts using a torgue wrench!
Had my breather cover come loose, noise was comeing from everywhere. I thought the engine was shot. Then the football cover fell off and slide into the curb. Found the bolt and now blue lock tite and all is well. I was the dummy, I knew better.
Kroozeabout.
When I put it together, I thought about this. Came inside and googled it, I swear I read it was a bad idea to out loc-tite on those two bolts as they are oil passage lines and can get clogged, so I left it out.

DOH!!
Loc-tite done properly is actually very little applied to the bolt. A little dab will do ya. Most people dump it on the threads, which is wrong. One drop is all it takes. All you need to do is gum up the threads, not soak them.
