OK, this is good! I forgot to mention that I have a large head. The full face helmet that I have now is kinda tight. I needed to do some research before I started drilling hole to install the stock Harley headsets. I will be using the cb so noise from the wind is going to be a factor I'm sure

KBC makes a half helmet with speaker pockets built into the ear muffs. I have this helmet set up for listening to music only with no mic. For riding with my wife, using intercom, we use 3/4 helmets, mine an el cheapo and hers a Nolan.

I have not installed either headset but assumed, judging by the hardwear included with the headsets that drilling holes was necessary. I could be wrong.

Why are you drilling holes? The HD headsets, just clamp on to the bottom rim of the helmet and you run wires inside to velcroed earpiece locations.
I agree with others posted above -- HD headsets are not worth the money. Bad sound quality. J & M is worth the upgrade.

That is what I use most of the year, then on cold days or unavoidable rainy days, I do the full face flip up model...headsets installed permanently.
