Revolution Performance EMS
Now that it has been out for a couple or three years, what is the verdict? Those of you who are using it, how do you feel about it? Did it perform as promised? Are you still using it?
I've noticed that there does not appear to be a RevPerf EMS offering for the 2012-2013 Harleys. Has research and development stopped on this product? If so, how long will those that have already been sold continue to be supported by Revolution Performance?
Rev Perf customer service was great, answered all my questons,2 day turnaround, it all worked for me .
Good luck to you , I believe you will be happy with your decision .

Is this correct? I was planning on selling the EMS I had on my 07 since it will not work on my 2012. If true, I guess I'm going to be SOL....
I will admit that if you are the kind of guy that likes to mess with tuning your bike instead of riding it, the EMS is not for you.
Some guys say that their "tuners" don't recommend it. Well, if you think about that a minute, of course they don't. The dyno guy is in direct competition with the RP EMS or any other system utilizing wide-band O2 sensors and engine load as opposed to the tuner's alpha N throttle position approach. They dyno guy is not needed with the modern systems regardless of what you read here on this forum. (I am sure the dyno guys will reference this comment in order to support their investments in dyno tuning). Seriously, I am not hitting on dyno tuners, just saying that with the appropriate system, there is no need for their services.
As for post 2010 ECMs, it's my understanding that RP has not yet cracked into the 2011 and later Delphi ECM. They must do this to unlock the power of the stock ECM and modify the parameters needed for the system to work properly. Apparently HD has designed 2011 and later Delphi ECMs with some kind of wall that has so far prevented access.
The only solution (at least what Rev Per told me when I inquired) for those with a 2011 or later bike is to purchase a 2010 ECM, then you are good to go with the RP EMS system. That adds to the expense of an already expensive system, so it will no doubt turn some guys off. But if you factor in the the cost of competing dyno-needy tuners, cost of multiple dyno runs, frustration when it doesn't work, cost of more dyno runs, etc., then the EMS starts looking better and better.
For those of you new to tuning, or for those of you that would like to hear about the system from the horses mouth, check out this video to get a much better understanding of the system, why it was designed they way it was, how it utilizes the power of the stock ECM coupled with Bosch wide band 18mm O2 sensors, and maybe gain a deeper appreciation for the r&d behind this product. I have no relation to the company, just bought and installed their product on my 2010 Ultra and I could not be happier with the results:
