Default muffler change question

im putting on some rush mufflers to replace my sampsons. does anyone recommend using new clamps? and does anyone put anything on the inlet before putting it on as in a gasket material or anything? thanks in advance...

BountyHunter might have something to say about this!

Seriously, You don't need new clamps, and i installed my new muffs over the old head pipes w/o anything other than the clamp. Just check the tightness after a few hundred miles and your good to go!

Torca Clamps are only good for 2 torque loads.....

Cheap insurance, and the HD Clamps are the best ones.....

Use new HD torca clamps and put permatex copper sealant on pipe and you will be good to go

I'd recommend new clamps. The HD Torca clamps. The sealant is not necessary with new clamps.
