Correct clutch cable and a part #
Just bought Wild Ones 575 bars for Ultra Limited 2011.
I know this has been covered all over here...yet it is still rather confusing??
Everything from use stock cable and just re-route it, or use a 2" longer cable (38649-08, or 08A)?? or a 4" longer cable like the folks at Wild Ones stated was needed when I ordered the bars, yet no part # provided.
If anyone here has installed these bars recently on a bike like mine with the heated grips and other assorted wires and cables, and has a good part# and what the actual length of the cable is I would really appreciate some info.
It seems that the 38649-08 is obsolete, or not readily available in dealers stock, Plus I am not even certain it is long enough slack-wise with only 2" over stock length.
Swapped out my stock handle bars to Klockworks Ergo Back bars a while ago. (nice bars but too straight out on the wrist angle) I was able to use the stock clutch cable. It is way too tight and has zero slack to spare...i cannot see how anybody could ever get a stock cable to work with the Wild Ones 575's?
If someone could help me with maybe a vendor who has what i need in stock??
