Some of the stock seat are very thick and you might loose some of the sleek style of your bike....Might look into a HD Sundowner,Very nice seats.....

Default FLH seat improvments

On my Heritage I went with a gel insert. I didn't care much for it especially where I ride it gets cold enough to freeze and I have read where people say they can leak.
On my FLH I sent my seat of to Mean City Cycle and had double memory foam front and rear and asked for a touch more padding for my tailbone, and even had the passengers area widened about 2 inches. I am very happy with the results.
Last year while riding with a group, everyone would stand and stretch their legs and get their rump off the seat at a stop sign... I did not feel that I had to stand, as my rump was comfy.

Well I love the slick look of the SG and I know once I add a giant seat that will go out the window but I am looking for comfort for when my wife rides and that doesnt happen often.

The 2009-2010 ultra seats are a little different then the 2010.5 and up. I went to a custom seat guy, he said the 09-10 pan is made such that he uses a 2010.5 and up pan to do a custom seat. The difference is on the bottom, (look on ebay, there are frequently pictures of the bottom of the seat so you can see the difference, and the part number changes) the seat pan on the early one has a criss-cross lattice and feet that the seat sits on the frame with. The newer one is smooth on the bottom and puts you a little closer to the ground. I noted the 09-10 seats are a little cheaper and easier to find then the newer ones. I just updated to see if the newer seat is good for me, or if I will return to the custom man to get the newer seat fixed.

I have a stock 11 Ultra Limited seat that I will trade even for your stock SG seat if it's the low.

We could each pay our own freight. I want to take the tour pak off and have a sleek looking seat on it.

I appreciate the offer but I also like the stock SG seat. I would like to keep it and purchase one for when the wife rides.

There is a reason why they are pretty cheap on ebay. While it is probably more comfortable for your passenger than the Street Glide seat, the after market seats are better.
