What kind of gas mileage should I get on a 2002 Road King carb model? What docking hardware do most everyone use for their backrest? Thanks for the replys. I finially got the bike ive been looking for, even if it is ten years old.

I have a 2001 FLHRCI, upgraded to 95". I run Lucas Oil with gas fillups and get 50-52 on the open road.

I indeed have an '02 Road King FLHR (note, no 'I'!!). Highway crusing at 80 I get around 35-38. Slow it down and it goes up. Around town I probably average a few ticks over 40. I can certainly do better, but I don't tend to ride that slow or conservative. I get about 160 miles out of a tank (~4 gallons then reserve).

I have the 4 point docking points, and I would highly recommend 4 over the 2.

Thanks SoCalMike, that was the info I was looking for. Ive only ran one tank of gas, and was suprised at how low the gas mileage was vs my Sportster. I think I will go with the 4pt hardware also.

'99 Carb. Touring around 70 mph I get 42 to 44. Buzzing around town 38 to 40.

My CV carb bike rocks! Sounds way better than a fuely, and runs every bit as good!

So what if I have to pull an enricher **** for a few seconds.

HD detachable hardware.

Enjoy your RK!
