A drug store will work. You really don't want a typical syringe but one of those ones for dental flushing.

Well, I'm getting ready to change my brake lines. I have one question. How do you change the lines without getting brake fluid everywhere? And which brake fluid. Dot 3 or 4? I don't want to get brake fluid all over the master cylinder because I don't want it to eat away at the paint.

new bikes use dot 4 be careful tho its wicked if you get any on anything ...i coverd everyhing with towels that could possible get wet from fluid...its not that bad i gravity bled from the mc down and ran the line into a small mason jar keep the top mc full and it will gravity bleed like a siphon after you squeeze the lever a few times...then if you put the cap on the mc it will stop the flow so u can pull it out of the glass jar and screw it down onto the abs block...

i just did a 12 limited and it worked fine...

I'm going to try this method soon, I hope it works.

I used a similar method. Once you put the MC cover on, you don't lose much fluid in attaching to the ABS block. Once you get it attached, wash everything down with clear water.

As for keeping some off the MC, I haven't ever found a way not to get a little on it. Just watch for it and wipe it away with a wet cloth.
