You won't tell a difference in stopping power, both rotors will become discolored within a few miles of use, the "RAW" rotor will become smooth and take on a chrome like appearence over time. Personaly I would save my money and get the "RAW" rotors, I would only use the chrome rotors if it was a show bike that is not ridden. But the choice is your's, if you like a lot of chrome then get the chrome one's, if it doesn't matter go for the "RAW" rotors.

i don't really have an answer to your question, but i've just gotta ask. how do you have a used wheel, that has never been mounted?

The guy bought the wheel from someone who decided to go in a different direction. It was still new in box. He has a '02 RG and it won't work with his bike.
