I have searched all the items that cover what I am looking for and without success.
I have a 2006 Ultra Classic and I hand washed it yesterday and while I was washing the radio face lit up and after washing the tach and speedo quit working. It shows bU5 ER or bUS ER on the speedo. The odometer is not working. The turn signals are working but will not clear themselves. The radio will not come on,I did the speedo diagnosis and on the SP it shows U1301 and 61008. I have always washed this bike the same for the last 6 years and never has this happened. Where do I go from here? Where does the speedo and the tach get it's signal ?The U1301 is Serial Data Open / High EFI. What does this mean?I assume that serial data is the computer ? if so where is it located? Could this have gotten wet ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not an expert but if it were mine I would of course let the bike dry out which I'm sure it has, remove the seat, disconnect the battery, unplug the ECM (the square black box that has a wiring harness connected to it), it may be under your right sidecover or sitting over the top of the battery. Leave it for a few minutes then reconnect everything in reverse order to see if it clears.
Check your fuses, under the left side cover. Might have one blown, or just need to be reseated in its socket. There is one fuse that operates the speedo, tack, turn signals and brake lights. Im pretty sure it also handles the cig lighter.
