Default 2010 Street Glide Day Tripper (Pics)

Finally got the new seat and installed it onto the bike today. I was rather pissed when I took the stock seat off and saw scuff marks and leather burn spots all over my fender and side fairings but the fender bib covered a majority of it and I HOPE that a buffer will fix the rest of that.

Looks good dude. I know what you mean about the marks, when I pulled the stock seat off I almost stroked. Thanks goodness to swirl mark remover.

Looks great. I thought about buying a Day Tripper for my Street Glide when I had it. I had 3 solo seats and didn't like any of them for various reasons, so I wasn't going to make it 4. Solo seats that you can ride for 8-10 hours are few and far between. I think the Mustang Vintage Solo is the most comfortable, but it doesn't have the right shape/profile for a Street glide.

I hope you found a "keeper".

Always liked this seat on the baggers. The front fits about 100% better than the Badlander!

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to remove most of those marks when I wash her up this Friday. I went with the day tripper because it moved me back farther than the rest that I tried and even sat me about an inch and a half lower.

How does it compare to stock as far as rider placement?

I'm back a good inch plus and it lowered me about an inch and three quarters.

Default Day Tripper

Guardian,
There is a store on 38th St. by the Tacoma Mall called Griot's Garage. I have a 2010 Merlot & Cherry Red Sunglo Street Glide which is a bear to keep looking good. I went to their store and purchased a 3" buffer kit. It came with 2 different polishes, and wax. It works great and the buffer will not remove your paint or burn it like other buffers can. I use mine all the time and their products are great. They even have a couple of service bays where they demonstrate their products on actual customers vehicles. If you call them maybe they would show you how to buff the paint to make it look new again. You can also check out their web site which I have listed below.
Here's all the information I have on them. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.
