Anyone have any feed back on Ed at the Dyno Difference in Dallas? Wanting to get my wifes CVO softail convertable tuned after doing complete exhaust swap. Just wondering if any of you guys have been there and what your thoughts were.
I used Ed in Dec and I can tell you he is the best I have seen. Ed will treat your bike as if it was his own. He schedules his time with you so that there is no rush and I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and his attention to detail. I was using a PCV tuned by Eastern Performance and the tune Ed put on my 2011 SG dramatically improved the performance of my bike. He ran the bike with the PCV to establish a base and show me where the PCV had my bike running. He then installed a direct link and his own base tune and the HP & TQ increased almost 20%. The then ran it 2 more runs and the final results were 26% over the tuned PCV Hope this helps your decision You will enjoy your experience with Ed
Same with mine! Had it tuned in Jan. Took the PCV off and used his stuff and went from 91 hp 105 tq to 110 hp and 121 tq. And the best thing is it gets 38 mpg .
Great guy.
Thats good to hear, and you already answered my next question about the Direct Link he told me he has available, looks like we will be making an appointment real soon.
Ed has done two of my bikes, and he is exactly what TXHarley11 has stated. He's a great tuner, honest guy, and I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone his way in need of a tune. If I remember correctly Jud used to send bikes down to him from Sachse after he did work on them.
Another +1 for Ed, He did my 2010 Ultra Classic, Direct Link, Excellent job and yes, he took his time and even showed me the progress and explained exactly what he was doing at why!
Also had talked to Judd, he was not able to get to mine for when I needed it completed by. I would have no regrets with either.
Have had my bike dyno tuned once. Ended up badly, but fortunately I have a great dealer here in Dallas. Have been considering having it tuned again, this time correctly.
Looked at Ed's site. Looks like it could be about a four hour job? Anyone have a ballpark idea of what having Ed tune your bike will set you back?
