I have a Biketronics stereo kit on my Electra glide with the Sony radio with mp3
Port. I just got an iPhone and I want to be able to connect it to my mp3
Port so I can play my songs on the phone through the Sony. What cable do I need and where is a good place to get one?
Thanks
I'm guessing just the regular USB cable that comes with the iPod to sync it would work. Just plug it into the USB on the front of the radio, but check with the Sony manual first to make surethat will work.
As far as a good place to get one, you can always buy locally at places like Best Buy, Walmart, etc, or you can get them for like $1 on eBay. Heck, I got tons of those laying around, send me your address and I'll send you one.
A nice feature is that it will charge your iPhone (once you connect the power and ground to the bike's electrical), and you can play the audio via a standard 3.5mm jack or use the RCA connectors.
I've since replaced it with a free HD Ipod module I recently received. If you're interested in buying my take-off let me know--I'll make you a sweet deal.
Thanks everyone for the info and offers. Harleypingman, give me about a week or so and I will let you know if I need your wiring set up. That sounds like a great way to hook it up.
