Crossover Gasket
Have read a lot of threads on this and didn't see what I was looking for. I'm going to replace my crossover gasket, as the one in there is kind of beat up, and this is the third time on and off for the exhaust. Anyway, as far as removing the old one, are there any tips or shortcuts, beside just picking it out of there with a small screwdriver? Thanks ahead of time with any advice.

I use a pick to pull them out, and then grab with a needlenose plier to pull them the rest of the way out. Sometimes they can be a little stubborn.
The new one might be a little hard to compress in the pipes at first, too. Just give it a good push (pushing the pipes together at the crossover) and it will smoosh in there. You'll know when it is crushed and in place.

This gasket does not "crush" into place. To properly install a new gasket, you will have to expand the mouth of the crossover pipe to the proper diameter necessary to easily slide the gasket in. Do it any other way and you will screw it up and have to buy another gasket. Been there, done that.
