Guys... I had the dealer install my Performance Machine grips when I first bought the bike... I'm about to do a handlebar swap and noticed that they just use adhesive to install the left grip... and that S.O.B. is on there!!!! I know with the stock grips you just cut them off... however these grips are $100 and I dont want to have to purchase new grips if I dont need to. Anyone have any luck taking a grip off like this? (without destroying it) Thanks!
If you're sure it isn't being held on by the switch covers my best advice is to use a heat gun & get everything as hot as possible, without doing damage, to see if that will loosen it up enough to twist it off.
When the switch housing is removed try using your air compressor to blow high pressure air between the grip and the bars. This may be enough to break it loose.
Well I can see the adhesive that they used running out of the end (switch housing are off at the chromer)... it looks just like liquid nails! That said I really didnt look for any set screws but maybe they do have set screws also.

Right up by the switch housing there should be two set screws 180* of each other, they are small.
Can't believe they would use adhesive, the set screws are more then enough to hold them on.
Liquid nails is a pain when you need to remove something. What about squirting some wd-40 or the like in there to see if it can weep its way around and maybe help to get it off. Just an idea.

I sure as hell hope they didnt either because if they did I will most likely spend the damn $100 for new grips rather than stress myself for 3 hours trying to get the crap off! Will check for the set screws tonight when I get home. THANKS FOR ALL THEY REPLIES AND IDEAS!
