I just bought a zumo 660 upgraded from the 550. I also bought the faring mount for it but my problem is I put on new handlebars, wild one 12.5 mini apes and the fairing mount will not fit. Anyone ever use the new handle bar mount they came out with. My last 550 was not hard wired but the 660 I want to hard wire and make it perminant.
I rode a friend's bike the other day that had the 660 on that new mount (I'm assuming you're referring to the flat curved piece that fastens to the clutch lever bracket). It worked well, and placed the GPS at a good angle . I thought it was a bit big, but it was nicely contoured. His was chrome and finished well.

I use this mount in order to keep it off the handlebars. I don't like for my GPS to be moving around with the handlebars or on the handlebars:
It's by Kuryakyn. It's the only piece of Kuryakyn on the bike, but it works well. It will accept your 660. It has a universal mounting plate. Here it is on their site:
cpt373- my friend's bike had the stock handlebars, so I guess my comments have limited value for you if you have aftermarket handlebars. But in any case, the mount was a quality piece, and didn't seem as large once the GPS unit was mounted. Overall, it looked like a good setup.
