When was the law passed that said you could only say good things about Harley-Davidson?

This is a forum , members can say whatever they want , you want me to leave , well no ,I will stay and listen to you couple retards complain about your famous sound . I have a 07 I also have drove several other 07's { ultra , e.g. standard, road glide} I know what you are talking about , I can produce this sound on any of these bikes if you lug the motor . if you keep the bike in its proper gear alls fine. I cant believe the big deal over this ! Remember this 96 in. engine is"stroked" version of the 88 , ask anyone that knows anything about motors and they will tell ya to keep the rpm up . I don't care what the manual says , just because you have 6 gears you don't have to use them all , unless needed. Think of your last bike with the 5 speed , how many times did you go to shift on the thruway and find you did not have any left , that's when 6th is needed . I drive a big rig for a living it has 10 gears and is a turbo charged diesel , there is a gear for every situation , sometimes you have to rev it in a certain gear . Not to say its the same thing but its the same general idea.

hd2007....I know me and you don't see eye to and never will. The problem is NOT lugging. I go from 4th gear to 6th gear to get away from the noise. I can run 6th gear at 2000-2200 rpms with no noise. In 5th...it has to be over 3000 rpmsbefore it even starts to quiet outany at all and never really does. The noise in 5th gear is between 45-close to 65 mph. There is a transmission problem and I spoke with a man from the factory who called me todayand wants to work on the problem with me. We are going to get togetherright after the holidays. All the ones out there who are talking about lugging don't have a clue of what you are talking about and don't have the specific problem that does exsist whether you believe it does or not. I'll keep everyone posted on the results of mine in a couple of weeks.

I keep trying to listen to every sound and here is my 1300 mile report. am starting to notice that geers do feel different but far from problem actually like it. rocks/ping? there is a little sowing machine sound or low ping sound occationally but ive allways felt that on any hd/bike ive ridden. on top of engine and becoming to caught up in it. yep thats about it,no real problems wait uh,,,just bought more goodies on line from chicogo hd...bike was very nice this year,,,ho ho ho

did 200 mi today noise and all. Biggest bitch i have now is you guys need to bundle up and go ride. If these noises are an issue the more miles we put on the sooner the truth will be none, Nothing grinds my *** more than self proclaimed bikers with a few year old bike with 1,000 mi on it .. I for one will prove the moco needs to wake up OR the moco is right. I honestly don;et know any other way to figure this out other than by riding . At the very least I'll put some miles on in the meantime in pursuit of my passion......and believ me it isn't having a PRETTY bike in the driveway next to my PRETTY pickup truck.

I do a lot of riding, it never get's to cold here in missouri to ride. (unless there's that white stuff on the ground.) I figure the only way now that the moco is going to be able to fix the problem that some are having is wait until it does break then they will know that there was a problem and no how to fix it. (maybe)

I have over 14,000 miles on my 2007 Ultra in the just over
3 months I've had it since my wife got it for my birthday.

I can tell you it still makes the same rattles, clanks, whines,
pings, vibrations it did new. Not one thing has changed.
I don't think it ever will being the design is 100 years old!

I love it with all it's faults, it is a great,FUN motorcycle!
