It looks like mileage numbers are all over the board. If the bike runs good I would just check the plugs and make sure they look ok (plenty of pics on the web of what a plug should look like), if the plugs were ok I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think you will every save enough money on gas to pay for a tune to improve gas mileage.

you can not tell anything from one fill up at 134miles.

Funny, I just had the same problem. The only thing is, BEFORE my 20k service, I was running about 210 miles per tank, and now I'm down to 170 - 190. Things that make you say WTF ! Of course the stealer says that they did nothing, but that I should have it tuned by them on a dyno. Go figure. I have a stage 1 kit, and a power commander 5.

At gusts of 50mph, I don't care what your skill level is. That is a day for the car, unless absolutely unavoidable.

My 2007 RKC 96ci 6-speed with a 5-gallon tank gets around 39-40mpg in a mix of highway and surface street riding. I rarely take my bike over 70 to keep gas mileage up and have to fill up in the 175-180 mile range. Anything over 70-ish mph will hurt your fuel efficiency.

I generally get 41-43 with 100% Premium fuel. I also use a fuel additive in every other tank. Don't really know if it helps but it makes me feel better.

The new one is just turning 1000 miles and will be going to the tuner next month. Hopefully it will be a bit better after she comes off the dyno.
I see that your from my town, be careful who you choose as a tuner. Here's my story for you and others.

I got my 2011 FLTRUSE last October. Stock my best was only 36 mpg and running very hot. After local dealer modded my 110" to a Stage lll my fuel average dropped to only 30 mpg. I ran it for 5K miles before researching and asking for advice. I was told to give Doc Weaver a call in Miniola FL.

Doc told me my fuel map was way off especially since my dealer installed the SERT tuner, which I found out was crap. Dealer did the dyno tune as well.

Made my appointment with Doc. He spent 2.5 hrs just on remapping my fuel. He added the TT Master Tuner and got rid of the SERT. After a half day on his dyno my CVO gained 10 HP & 10 TQ over my dealers dyno.
Doc got rid of my throttle hesitation and I'm now averaging 40 mpg. My bike is running like a Swiss watch, sweet.

My final dyno shows 110 HP 120 TQ now.

My advice to all. Do your RESEARCH, ask around who the best tuner is. Travel if you must. In 90 days I wasted over $800 on a bad tune plus mpg loss, don't do the same.

Ethanol produces 30% less energy (BTU) than gas, and since most of us now enjoy E10 gas (10% ethanol) the BTU reduction is more like 3%. I've done some unscientific tests on my bike and find there to be little difference in MPG or seat-of-the-pants power between E0 and E10 gas. There is obviously some reduction in both, but I can't feel it and I monitor MPG on my PV display while riding.

The only HD's I see getting 50 mpg are light Sportsters & Dynas not heavy Ultras.

Don't worry about internet bullshit as when you ride with these guys that get 50 mpg riding at 80 mph all day and monitor the bike & fuel intake for them they start coming up with excuses as to why suddenly there fuel usage has gone up.
I get 41 plus at that speed , see my sig for bike info
