The only concern I have honestly is someone helping themselves because it's so obvious they're LED's (had this happen before)
Really?? That stinks. I have been running LED clusters since 2006 and over 50k miles. I have never had any stolen or ever worried about the possibility of it. Now when I had my BAL taillight I did have the security screws. I was always kinda worried about that walking away.
Great writeup. Exactly what I was looking for, now I need to do some planning
I am also wondering if these will work on a 2012 CVO Softail Conv. It appears to have the same taillight setup. Ill have to take a closer look at the wifes bike.
Yeah, it wasn't an LED, but it was something that was easily taken. And as you know, the LED's themselves are a 15 second thing to pull if you want them. Especially with the clear lens, it's pretty obvious what's in there.

Hey, did you get the strobe? If so, thoughts?
Not yet. Prolly gonna wait until after I heal up before ordering anything. No sense in having stuff lay around that I can't install. I also need to take a look and see if I can make it fit with how I have my Smart Eq routed.
Hey Chillls I'll be interested to see any pics you put up. I did notice that if I stand too close, it appears some of the LEDs are not on, but when I move, or or move back I realize it's an optical thing, typically from being too close and looking down. See if you notice any difference when you back up, even at night I thought they were much brighter, during the day it's 'night and day' (yes, pun intended!).
In front I went with the Dynamic Ringz which has the outter ring of white LED's and the inner set all amber. I used clear lenses up front, and red in the rear. The only concern I have honestly is someone helping themselves because it's so obvious they're LED's (had this happen before)
Glad it's all installed and buttoned up. Check it out and see what you think. If you haven't, you can do what I did . . . put an original incadesant bulb on one side, and an LED on the other and compare.
i got everything buttoned up so late last night i didnt get to ride it but i road to work this morning & so did my buddy so we swapped bikes ( he did a set of SE204 cams & i wanted to ride them) & WOW are they bright. now this was in the dark so of coarse they are going to be bright. i definitely like the way they look at night. my buddy was impressed too.
i also got the strobe inline, i like #6 the best but wish it flashed for only about 2 seconds instead of the 5.
