Default Monotube Input?

I have a 05 RK Classic that is lowered front and back. Harley's progressive rate lowered springs up front and 12" 440s in the rear. Never have been happy with the ride so I am going to try going back to stock height in the front and was thinking of getting the monotubes.

Anyone tried these?
Is the ride any good?

Phat Performance has a good price on them. They used to give a forum discount do they still?

Lots of posts on here about the Progressive Monotubes, you wil get a lot of good information. I installed these at stock height in my '11 FLHRC, huge difference over the stock springs. Glad I did it.

not only do you get a greatly improved ride/handling input, but you rid yourself of the maintenance of having to change the oil in the front shocks, which will save money down the road. but the handling is sooo much better. a wise choice and a good investment

I've ran the lowered and stock height monotubes , both performed well

A friend of mine replaced the fork springs and dampeners in his Ultra Classic with a Progressive Suspension Mono Tube kit. He raved about it. Handles much better, minimizes nose dive when braking, etc. He bugged me enough so that I found a good deal on a set and bought them too and installed them on my 2011 Road Glide Ultra.

The weather here in Idaho has been terrible for weeks: cold, wind, lots of rain, and occasionally a bit of snow; not conducive to motorcycle riding. I got a few short rides in town in between storms with the new suspension but I really couldn't feel any difference in the handling.

But today it cleared up and warmed up all the way to 60° so I headed out into the foothills for my first real ride on the new suspension. My buddy was right. Progressive has really done a good job with these. First, riding over the little bumps and pits in the road felt much smoother. The stock springs transmitted a little jolt up to the rider but the new system rolled over them smoothly. Rolling over a parking lot speed bump was almost a pleasure (not quite, but almost). The real test was riding at highway speeds on the curvy mountain roads. The bike just felt solid as can be, like riding on railroad tracks.

Yeah, I know this sounds like a commercial for Progressive. But it is not. I have no affiliation with Progressive whatsoever. I'm just passing along my thoughts about this product and how well it performed on my Road Glide. I would recommend it to anybody on a Harley bagger.
