Just recieved my Outlaw Ultra Low Profile Carbob-Fiber half helmet and it is not quite what i expected, not much smaller than my Fulmer. Is anyone familier with these helmets and if so is there any DOT approved helmet smaller than this one that you know of?

Yes,
I also recently purchased one from leather-up, and it was not at all what I was expecting! It still makes me look like a "mushroom" !It's bad enough that I am a mushroom.....don't have to look like one too ! Ya know what I mean guys?'
I was surprised with the quality of my Outlaw helmet from Leather-Up. I bought one with the Vietnam scheme on it. I do remember the paperwork stating it is DOT approved. Although I was a little surprised it didn't have a DOT sticker on it. I thought it was a law requirement.
There has to be a certain thickness of styro or your not going to have any protection and you might as well be wearing a ball cap. That veteral dome looks great....Who started this mushroom head BS....Im guessin its someone who doesnt think it makes them look cool to protect their head....
The leatherup carbon fiber helmets are not the thin ones they used to be. There is an 80 page thread on this subject in the Softail forum. They cannot be had anymore. As was stated a couple posts up those Canadian places still have the small ones.
The reason I mention this is that the above helmet was the smallest DOT approved half-helmet I could find. It is only slightly bigger than my 10-year old, non-DOT, beanie helmet.
I have also bought, within the last month, two other "small" DOT approved half-helmets. I bought the Rodia Beanie from Dennis Kirk and a Vega XTS. The above Outlaw helmet was noticeably smaller than the other two and really didn't give a mushroom head look.
I bought this helmet from ebay. It is absolutely the smallest DOT I have ever seen. Barely bigger than my novelty helmet. This is the first DOT helmet I have ever been happy with. It is an Outlaw helmet.
