Default Corbin customer service does NOT suck

I had a problem with the leather seat cover on my Classic Solo. A little spot on the underside of it had two little holes by the rivits, I assume from something on the seat pan. I called Corbin, and they sent UPS to my house to pick up the seat at no cost. They told me it would take about five weeks to get the repair made. True to their word it was recovered with new leather, persumeably the seat pan was inspected and filed where it punctured the leather and the seat was shipped back to me today.

Although it took longer than I had hoped it would, Corbin took care of the issue, all under warrentee, all on their dime, in the timeframe they originally set. I know that people on this board and others have made comments about the poor customer service from Corbin, but I could not be more happy with the level of service I recieved from them and I will absolutely buy from them again. On a side note, this seat is the absolute best, most comfortable seat I've ever had on any bike I've owned.

I'm glad they stepped up to the plate for you, but I know of HUNDREDS of people who have had problems with them. Normally the only people who get good service are the people that show up at the factory.

Their quality has gone down dramatically, the prices are through the roof, and the customer service is less than stellar.

One of my friends had had my 02-S backrest for a year, waiting for Corbin to repair his under warranty,

They sent it back because he was not the "original purchaser"

The "original purchaser" was the shop he bought it from according to them, so he had to go back to where he bought the bike, the seat and backrest were part of the deal, they had to dig back through their records to find his sales contract on the bike where the seat and back rest were included the shop had to sent all the papers and the back rest to Corbin, where they sat on it for 9 months deciding if they were going to repair an obvious defect in materials and workmanship.

I could relate more horror stories from the ZRX Owners Association forums, but I am not holding out that they have changed their tune over at Corbin.

Good to hear that. I am a big fan of Corbin saddles but not so much of the company. My last purchase through the dealer involved a couple of returns, one involving sending a Sportster back rest with a touring seat — dumb stuff like that. There is a longer story but the upshot is my dealer quit doing business with them as a result.

Even so I would put up the with the problems because the saddles are that good.

Good for you-

They already took my money, never again.

I gave them every opportunity to remedy my concerns with the seat- and I feel I was given the run-around and lied to.

So I take every opportunity to let other riders know that Corbin may not make a great product each and every time, and they may not stand behind their product when there is a problem with construction and /or materials

ps mike corbin, I'm still awaiting a reply to my letter

I've had noting but great seats and good customer service from Corbin over the last several years. Nothing else works as well (for me) on long rides, tried Mustang and C&C, still keep coming back to Corbin.

Maybe they have turned the page with their customer service. Even last year when I bought a passenger seat, it ended up having a different key than my classic solo, and without hesitation, they sent me some new locks and keys for the passenger seat. When it ended up being more than I wanted to tackle myself, I sent the seat to them on their dime and they swapped out locks for free and shipped it back to me.

I agree, I am about an hour away from the factory and have had several seats. Never had a problem, great customer service anytime I had an issue.
