Default Top trunk question

The hinges on the trunk on my Ultra really look flimsy - Has anyone come up with a kit to replace the OEM hinges or other mod to beef things up?

Thanks - tom

the stock hinges will last years and years.

there is a sleek looking billet kit waiting for you at the dealer if you want

just be careful not to stress the tourpak lid when opening it

I just installed the HD Premium hinges and personally think they are one of the best 'eye candy' mods I've done. They fit perfectly and took just about an hour to install and that includes undoing the wiring so I could remove the lid.

it's easy to install the HD nice hinges and remove those barn door hinges that come stock they really help with how the lid feels opening and closing.

I've never heard of the stock hinges failing, but the premium hinges do look more sturdy and attractive.

I've never seen the premium hunges up close before, but they certainly look good. On the other hand my Tourpak has been working fine since 1987 and still performs. I did replace the rubber seals on the lid several years ago and repaint it, but it soldiers on!
