Default Adjusting TL Phase 7

How did you guys adjust the correct height of your TL. I installed my light the other day and rode with it tonight for the first time. I thought it needed to be raised so I raised it a bit. Kinda hard to tell if it's adjusted correctly when the low beams are on.

Hoping someone had some adjusting tips on the TL Phase 7 headlight.

in the hd repair manual it tells how to adjust the headlight...I would start there...I have read that some of the guys are marking the wall where the bright spot is before they change it out so that they will have a reference for setting the new one (but that wont help you out)....

True wasn't thinking when I removed the stock headlight. Just hard to tell with the TL LED where it's aimed at when sitting on the bike.

I just adjusted mine. If I remember correctly, at 25 feet the center of the headlight beam (bright spot) needs to be 2.1 inches below height of headlight center (floor to headlight center distance, when measured on bike).

Yep, time to go to the manual. Too late for you, but what worked for me:
I was OK with the adjustment on my stock headlight, so I lifted my bike on the lift about 25 ft. from the wall, turned on the low beam and marked the wall for center and low beam top of the beam. When I installed the TLP7 it projected a clean low beam line right on the marks. I went for a short ride that night, and like you, I decided to raise it up a bit. Now I am waiting on the TLP7 Passing Lamps that will need a big time adjustment. I had to cover the headlight with a bucket to even see the poor pitiful things. The manual gives recommended aims for them, and I will start with the wall and lift, and tweak after a few rides.
And an observation; visibility during the day looking head on to the bike, dim kind of fades out at certain distances and angles - I recommend running these lights on bright during the day. Passing lamp mods to have them on too I think is in order as well. Lower amp loads of these lights should be no problem. More on this issue will be addressed in upcoming reviews soon, I feel sure.

Thanks for the advice.... Maybe it's me but the TL7 is a great light at night.... Just not so sure during the day.
