To the OP: I'm not sure you have symptoms of sumping, as in that case you would likely see low oil level and a performance decrease when hot, neither of which you mentioned. Not sure about the burnt-oil smell, but I would look around for any leak, especially those around the exhaust system. I would expect higher oil pressure than 20 at 2000 rpm, even when hot. I rarely see <32 (straight-up on the gauge) at any time except at idle, and no change after the cam swap. I also have a 96/255 combo.
Before all of the upgrades I too was stead at 32+ psi except at idle. Now it is consistantly low. The only thing that makes me half think it is sumping is the oil pressure issues and sometimes when its cold it feels like the bike struggles past 4500 rpm. That goes away within the first five minutes though.

Well that's something you didn't mention, or I missed. Have you checked the drain under the cam chest? How much oil?
By the way, I wouldn't be taking my bike out to 4500 in the first five minutes of starting it. Just sayin'...
First, Are you sure you didn't over fill the tranny when you serviced it. It will stink like hell for quite a while if you did. Second, How much oil did you put in the oil bag?

Tranny didn't get serviced on this one.
3.5 quarts of new oil was added during the oil change. It's reading in the center on the dip stick and I'm getting no blow back through the breather

That's right where it should be with 3.5qts. I doubt it's sumping if it's not moving on the dip stick. When a bike is sumping the oil level will be all over the place on the dip stick. Mostly showing low.
No signs of weeping anywhere around the oil filter or breather tubes? Just a little oil somewhere will smell for a long time till it burns off all the way.
Probably just paranoid but----- you gotta check it out. I felt the same way after my stage 2--listen, smell, etc,.
When you re-installed the cam plate, did you 'feel' it squeeze past the 'O' rings? When I did mine I could feel it go home and I knew the cam plate was properly seated.
As others said the sump check will tell the tale. If that checks good you may be smelling oily parts-- header, cam cover, other bits that you handled with hands when buttoning it back up and which got hot after warm up.
That 20 psi @2000 rpm is a bit unusual though as mine holds 28-30 at that rpm but all a bit different.
