Thats what I was thinking.

I'm bettin' it works, maybe not the best performer, but it will probably work, however the one muffler from a dual system may be a little anemic, you may need to add a high flow muffler. I'll be watchin to see what you come up with, cool project.

Well the Sampson didn't work. Sounded like a 4 cylinder honda running on 2 and no power. Put the stock muffler on and runs better, but still sounds stock. Going to take the freeze plug out and put the Sampsons back on this weekend.

Took the freeze plug out this morning and put both sides on. Put a big sucker stage 1 A/C on yesterday and the bike runs and sounds great, with a hole lot less heat. I never did get good fuel milage. Alway got between 35 and 38 mpg. Now with the Xied, big sucker, no cats, and Sampsons, getting 43 mpg on the first tank. I'm a happy camper.

That was what I found when I removed the cat, & it works just fine.
I did the same thing with my 2011 headpipe and it works just fine also....Since you've got a set of pipes to experiment with, go ahead and play with different designs and report to the forum with your findings.....thats how new inventions are made.
