Don't even need quiet baffles - the 4" muffler is very quiet under normal load, and barks a little bit when you open up. But the sounds is very reasonable and tone is great!
The stock 2010 mufflers are different internally (right side especially) and they are significantly louder than the 2009 mufflers. I don't know for sure but they might be the same on 2011 and 2012 bikes where any of those model years might work. You might try a set of take-off stock mufflers and see how they sound. They would be cheap and high quality.
I found the 2010 stock mufflers were too loud when riding in a full face helmet and one long ride gave me permanent tinnitus. I needed something quieter and after some experimentation that's when I found out how much louder the 2010 mufflers are compared to the 2009.
If it wasn't for such high shipping costs or arguments over who scratched what, when ? And one wants to trade but the other don't.....it would be cool.
It's a great idea. People, or even vendors could just donate them to the cause. Scratch them all up, paint them pink and stencel "Test Pipe" on the side. That way nobody would be tempted to just keep them.
Another vote for SuperTrapp FatShotz. Flow nicely and you can choose how loud you want. They come with 10 discs and an open end cap. You can put a closed endcap on if you wish and adjust how many discs work for you. Nice deep throaty sound when you twist.
Sound pretty close to the Jackpots on a stock bike with the Catalyst.....without the Catalyst is a diff story.
On the Samson website our sound testing was done with a set of our true dual head pipes without a catalyst. Just for everyones information.
Thank you,
JR
+1 for Rush 3.5 slip-ons with the 1.75 baffle. Had them on my 2010 Ultra, I would have kept them for the new Limited but they are chrome and now I want black. So I sold them to my riding buddy. If stock pipes are a 1 and Rineharts are a 5 then these are a 2-3. V&H Monsters are more like a 5-6, JMHO.
I put on Superflows with 2" baffles, and love it. Rumbles really nice when you rip on it, probably a 5 on the OP's scale. But when you are cruzing i can barely hear them over the wind. Perfect for long rides. The price was great too.
As someone else has mentioned, sound clips are pretty unreliable. The sound clips on the Superflow site pretty well sucked, but they sound great in person.

Can you confirm this, I just found some 2011 pipes from a103 motor on eBay, for about 60, including shipping, but the local dealer said all the post 09 pipes are the same...of course he told me that my 09 had a cat so who knows.....if the late model pipes are louder that my 09 that may be all I need
