Can you confirm this, I just found some 2011 pipes from a103 motor on eBay, for about 60, including shipping, but the local dealer said all the post 09 pipes are the same...of course he told me that my 09 had a cat so who knows.....if the late model pipes are louder that my 09 that may be all I need
I would think the 2009's had the cats in the mufflers and the 2010 up do not since it is in the headpipe.
Alot of great choice's, I have the Bub 7 Stealth and are very user friendly, even with cams, The baffles can be opened on the inlet side for more roar if needed. Very quiet at cruise.
If it is stock, there is a cat somewhere. Before HD put the cat in the headpipes in 2010 they were always in the pipes.
That was one of the reasons for moving them to the headpipes. EPA was upset that it was to easy for guys to swap out mufflers and then be free of the cats.
As far as I know in 09 the only baggers with cats, were in calif, and exports
As far as I know in 09 the only badgers with cats, we're calif, and exports
Your correct.
I wouldn't bother switching 2009 mufflers for 2011's. I doubt you would be able to hear a difference.
Why not try the Fullsac muffler conversion. If you need a sound clip this is what the 2" cores sound like in CVO cans.
Bad video taken at side of road with cell phone. I held the throttle around 3500rpm and also held the phone at level where you would be sitting.
I have the Screaming Eagle Fat Shotz on my 2010 Street Glide now. I want louder so am going with the V&H Pro pipe next week. Will sell the Fat Shotz if someone is interested. 5000 miles on them.
