Sorry if thie is a repeat (i searched but didn't find anything about my issue). I havea 2010 Street Glide and absoutely love it. I've changed the seat to the sundowner seat, along with the hydraolic (can't spell) adjustable backrest. I'm 6'2" and "portly" (right at 250), and ride a lot (this year was right at 20,000 miles) but have noticed tingling and numbness in my hands. Additionally, I took the "Ride Like a Pro" class and could not do the hard circle turns because my handlebars slammed into my knees when pushing the bars all the way over.
I've had the stock bars adjust up as far as they will go, but still have clearance issues. I'll be looking at taller bars and am concerned about possible interference with my GPS, which I had mounted to the inner fairing.
Anyone have any experience with this? I know the mirrors are going to be useless, but will go with an alternate set.
I'm open to any thoughts or ideas...................
I'm 6-4 and have a 12 SG... I had the same problem. Check out my ape install. If you have anymore questions, send me a pm and I will give you my number...
