I think it looks great one thing that might of worked for the small gaps is foam tape, I'm glad your happy with them. Great option to getting stretched bags
hmm....wish I would have known they were available in raw.....saved me a few bucks, as we just blasted it right off. Would be nice if they offered them without the grooves as well.
Looking forward to seeing your extensions on the bike....please post a pic.
~Joe
Here they are off the bike, she is at the shop getting the 777 cams done! Also had my painter blast the factory dash and shoot it orange while he was doing the extenions and my wrap fender.
AS I mentioned, I went out and played with them, and it made a BIG difference.
FWIW, Ember Red Sunglo is the best color available this year IMHO. Everyone rants and raves about the blue, but I like the red....you did good!
Think about getting a painted inner fairing and chrome front end kit for your bike. those 2 items are really worth the coin.
~Joe
Inner fairing is already ordered and chrome front end is on the list, Joe. I love the ember too. It's the reason I got the inner fairing. I just love looking at it! LOL. Glad the extentions worked out for you. They look great!

Traveler, looks good. For anyone else thinking about extended bags, I just got a set from sinister industries and very impressed. They are ABS and I think just a little thicker than factory, so a little less flex. Factory lids fit perfect. Prep for paint was easy. For cut-outs, they come solid across the back, but it is a tab that can be cut to whatever exhaust set up you have. Worth the money, without a doubt!

Traveler, they look good and if your happy with them thats the final word.
SMG614, on your I checked out the Sinister bags, regarding the exhaust cut out can it be cut higher to better match the stock fender fillers? Thats my problem with all of the extended bags or bag extensions on stock fenders the cut outs dont match at the back, they are always lower.

@XARAN, I think that if you look at the stock bags and filler at eye level, the bags appear to be lower. I will double check with a friend that has a stock bike. I think that's part of the reason why I went extended everything. The stock lines just didn't look good to me.
Another option would be to buy the "street sweeper" fender extension w/ no cut-outs from milwaukee bags. Cut it same total length as the stock (center of the fender), and then make the cut-out to match the bag. It doesn't show the new bags on sinister yet, but you can cut that hole whatever you want.
