I have a 2006 Electra Glide standard that I have totally chromed out. I have purchased a Harley stereo and hog tunes from eBay. I have three questions:
1. Does the inner fairing have to come out to install stereo?
2. Is the 2006 Electra Glide standard prewired to stereo? It has the radio controls on the hand controls.
3. Is this a task that a normal person could do?

3. Is this a task that a normal person could do? Yes. The typical FLHT owner may be excessively thrifty; i.e., reluctant to purchase an HD Service Manual. Buy one.
