Default Ultra Lowering

I know there have been many threads about this and I have searched many, but I need a little help. Can anyone give me a heads-up on which of these would be better?
Egilde Goodies, Kuryakyn, or So Lo. I appreciate any help. I have received a lot of good advice from this site.
Thanks in Advance

I used So Low and am very happy with the results. I've never bottomed out or rubbed my tire. I ride solo with about 5 lbs of air in the shocks and two up with about 15 lbs. I also lowerd the front 1 1/4 in. with Progressive springs. You will notice a difference in your ride. It will be firmer but not as bad as the Harley Low Profile shocks which I did not like at all.

Since you already have air shocks, it would be cheaper and easier to just get lowering brackets. As you have probably found in your search, brackets are available that will lower the bike anywhere from 1 to 2 inches. Unless you always ride solo, I would not go any lower than 1 inch to be safe. Mine is an '05 Ultra, and I have not had any problems with the Solow brackets. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Thanks for the good info. Terry do you think it is necessary to drop the front end also?

Why is it a kit for an '06 Classic is $75 and an '06 Ultra is $80?

The '00' Ultra that I had before was lowered in the back 1" with a bracket, but the only problem was thatoften, with a passenger,I bent the bottom tailend of my mufflerswhenleaving a drive with a steep drop at its end. I liked the looks and am thinking of doing it on our newer Ultra but I have yet to bend my pipes on those same drives, still trying to decide.

I have a 2006 street glide. I used the so-lo which claims to drop your bike 1 1/4" but only dropped mine 3/4" and botttomed out constantly. However the street glide has 12" shocks versus the classics and ultras 13". Why not just use the SG 12" shocks or get a set of 11 1/2" progressive shocks??

Correct me if I'm wrong but installing a shorter shock limits the travel of the suspension which with two aboard, I do not want to sacrifice. Plus, I am getting ready to switch wheels between our current bike and one I'm getting ready to sell which has the loweringbrackets which I'm considering re-installing on our newer bike for free.
