I have an '09 RG and went through this same problem last year. I really had "the itch' for a new RGU. The problem was that I didn't 'need it', I wanted it. I finally had to just step back for a few weeks to think things over. What I wound up doing was upgrading to the FM 107 and I haven't looked back. Has your bud considered going this route? I can totally relate to the lure of a new bike, especially one of the CVO models, but he can upgrade his current bike a bunch for 28 large.
Appreciate all the responses and I suspect my bud is lurking around the site reading them :-)
Gearhead, Kind of what I told him but you know when you have the itch and the dough it is some tough addiction not to pull the trigger on the dream bike.
I believe they came back upping the low end by 1500. but I may be off on that.
I just tested the waters on trading my 11 RK (stock black,96ci, ABS, cruise)on a 12 Limited. Got 15,700. I have no doubt I would like the Limited, but I know I like my RK. Torn on the subject.
