Spectro Platinum has always worked for me and I can get it locally.
Good Luck.

I run Redline ShoockProof tranny oil. There are other good tranny fluids out there also.

I went to Bel-Ray 85W-140 on the 1k service and neutral is much easier to find now. Clunking during shifting is greatly reduced as well. Redline Shock Proof Heavy (SPH) is also thought of highly around the forum.

Probably one of the most asked questions on this forum and the easiest answered of all... Experience.

If you are using the heel shifter, it is common to have neutral be a pain in the ***. Try moving the toe shifter up so you can use it until your tranny gets broken in. It's easier to find neutral with your toe.

Had the very same issue on my 2011 FLHTK. It was suggest to me on this forum that until I do the first adjustment and change out the oil (I used RedLine) to place the arch of my foot/boot over the pivot of the heel/toe shifter and gently go from 1st to Neutral or 2nd to neutral by putting slight pressure onto the front or rear lever. It works and then when I did that fluid change and clutch adjustment, all has been perfect ever since.

Had the same issue on both the '10 Ultra as well as the current '11 Limited. A clutch adjustment helped along with the fluid change but time and mileage made the biggest difference.
