Almost impossible on my 2012 SG to find neutral....Once I shut the bike off it slips right into N first try but when it's running, not a chance, takes me forever to find.

Had the same problem with the bike when it was new, but now a year and 15K miles later it's a lot easier. Don't know if it's just broke in now or I'm getting better at it ...

I never had a great deal of problem with mine. It would be a bit finicky from time to time but nothing serious.
Then the original shifter linkage failed and I installed a billet HD one with the Heim joints.
That made a HUGE difference. "Tightened" up the whole shifting system.

Overfilled primary will also cause hard to find neutral.

I read AIM and keep hearing Chris say the same thing. I have a 99 sporty, 03 lorider and an 08 roadking. Of the three, the RK is by far the easiest to hit neutral, a little bump and it's in. Maybe you guys need to caress it up instead of trying to bang it in? Then again, maybe you need to loose the heel shifter. POS imo

I found that the heel shifter works best for me. Like said earlier, drop it if first, then a light tap with your heel usually does it.
