Even though you already know my opinion.. I'll start.
I went with a Dakota Kid (http://www.dakotakidcarbs.com/) bore of my 44mm Delphi to a 48 w/ matching porting of the intake. His cost is $325. It is debatable as to wether or not intake velocity is reduced on a "mid" build as a result of "opening" up the TB. My build w/26's did make better than avg HP, but the toque was less than expected (~92/94). Now, on my current build, I am certain that the TB is helping as it has high lift cams and big valves and is making much more power. In discussing the idea of using the 48mm on that build with "The Kid", he explained to me that the most dramatic results would be seen on hotter builds, it that it would help my mild build too.
There are plenty out there... HPI, Zippers, S&S, and don't overlook the S/E 50mm TB that includes bigger injectors and all new sensors and can be had from Zanotti for less than $350. However, I sincerely believe that a 50mm is TOO MUCH for your build and it WILL hurt your torque numbers....
Cruise control works because it has the stock pulleys on it.
yes...i run an HP 55mm and it has hurt torque but not much....i intend to stroke the motor soon and will need the bigger tb...buy it once i figured....on my HP55 it was not possible to run a cruise control bc its too big...it was an easy install with just swappin fittings and sensors...but the bracket holding the cable and cruz had to be trimmed...the cruise tabs aint there no more....i cost 700 bucks and i think its worth it...it sure is purdy....but like Master Phil says, you dont need one that big...you'd be best served with a reworked stock unit or the SE unit for your build
With the build you have, a larger throttle body will not show the results you are looking for. If you had serious after market head work done, then a larger TB would be an influence on your performance. The heads you have are by no means stock, but if you take a look at some high flow heads, you will notice a dramatic difference in them. The Zanotti throttle body is a stock HD body that is bored out and opened up with the addition of new sized throttle plates. So,depending on cam profiles, port shape and size, air box and exhaust, you may have a good combination going right now. Just so you can get an idea, take a look at "Mackie Engeneering" heads and a Horsepower Inc. throttle body to see a visual of some aftermarket high performance stuff.
In addition, a dyno run on your bike will give you a good chart to work from as far as where you are at and where you would like to be for HP/TQ.
Have a great New Year!
I would also agree with Phil on this one. You can throw money at horse power and not get much once you get to a certin point, and IMO you are at that point with your current build. The only way to get more is with C/I, FWIW I am geting 115hp out of my stock T/B and stock injectors. I did do some work to it IE clean it up with with a dremel but never bought in to a bigger T/B. But this is JMO
Save your money, it won't help with your build. Lower gears would though.....like going to 3:37
I have Kuryakyn's 57 mm throttle body and it works great for me with my other mods, how many guys are getting over 120 h.p. out of a 95 incher. The 57 is a direct bolt on and you can still use cruise.

The general consensus seems to be.................waste of money for me.
I figured I would throw it out there and see what people would think for my build.
I have no plans at all to go bigger in the future, change the heads, or pretty much anything else. Cams would be the only thing I would consider changing as far as internals go.
I'll save my money, run the stock throttle body............and look for something else to play with.................LOL
Well the nice thing about not having plans to change things in the future, is that your plans can change overnight. You might want to talk to Mike Stegmann over at Latus Motors. He has developed a TB that has interchangeable venturis so it can grow with future mods. He says they should be ready for release in Feb.
I still think your best option would be 3.37 gears, you'll feel a huge difference in acceleration. I run a larger TB but I need it for the build I have, I also run the 3.37 gears, the down side is you would end up going to a 6 speed for highway cruising.
