depends of your height, sensitivity to air and headgear.
i use mine to bring air into me- that reduces the pressure differential ( low pressure behind the fairing, high pressure to the sides) and air coming to fill the area behind the fairing from behind and below.
i can wear a ball cap at 70 mph, and turn my head to check lane changes.
I don't use a recurve, I cut my windscreens so the air hits right where my hairline ( used to be) that's what works for me.
