That is such a wide, wide question that I doubt you will get many responses. Narrow it down a bit by being specific. There are a lot of differences going up from 2008 model year. Every year there are changes in engine parts, usually very minor, but there are changes.
are you asking only about the engine? 09's have pre-drilled holes in the forward heads for a different stabilizer link. the 09 frames are different.....more rigid...rear wheel axle and width's are different....what exactly are you wanting to know

Since he asked about the 96ci motor Iam guessing he wants to know about.............the motor!
08s had the holes in the front heads, too. 07 and back didn't.
08 engine is the same as 09... same engine MGT stategies 205 cals. 07 back is different. MOCO concentrated on the frame improvement for 09, 09 has different exhaust than an 08.
and then in 10 switched whole parts of the 02 system, exhaust etc and altered big portions of the ECM. 044 cals. Engine for 10s the same. IIRC... 11s are mostly the same as 10s, but a few late ones came with the 12 TB. 12s now... went to different TBs 009 cals.

the reason for the previous question was in the screamin eagle catalog it list the 255 cams are ok in 09 and the 254e or ok on the i believe 2010 and later engines. Why would they say that if there was no difference between the 08 and 09 versions, why not just say 08 and later versions aare ok,,,
Here's a link to the 2009 Model Year Technical Forum document that outlines the changes they made in 2009. There are a few changes to the engine.
