As the title says it took me 5 hours to get this thing installed. My frame crossmember was bent all to hell. After using and reusing the crossmember tool from True Track, some vice grips, a hammer and drift the thing finally got flattened back out. Patience really paid off...
Did lots of dry fitting to make sure everything dropped in place and finally it did and it's all torqued and secure. Looking forward to feeling the difference on a bit of a ride today before the rain rolls in.
Apparently the previous owner of my scoot must have been hopping curbs or driving over big rocks to deform the crossmember as it was. I saw no other signs of damage to the bottom of the bike front to rear except the crossmember thankfully.
If the cross member was used as a jack-point, that'll deform it... I had a TruTrack on a prior bike. It worked well. There was a definite improvement versus having nothing at all. I think you'll like the difference.
