I know it is dumb and probably been asked 100 times but bear with me!!
My buddy bought 12 SG and added V&H slip-ons and a HD Ventilator intake. He did the stage 1 download. He now wants to gut the stock head pipe until he can save up for a header pipe and proper tuner this winter.(my PCV)
Will the engine AFR be ok like this or will it cause a lean condition?
I'll even throw in a pic of his new bike and mine! I know how everyone likes pics!
All I'll say is if he goes thru the trouble of gutting the stock header pipe he basically has done what he would pay 400 bucks for by going aftermarket. My V and Hines headers were the same diameter of the stock headers minus the cat.
