Default Trailer Questions, Not a debate, no need for hate

Thinking of getting a trailer for my wifes fatboy and my street glide. I've looked at every thread so as not to repeat something that might have been covered but couldn't find it.
Looking at buying a Pro Series Interstate 6 x 12 single axle trailer with radial tires and a torsion axle

1st question-I know a 7 x 12 is better but can these two bikes trailer well on a 6 x 12. Plan to stagger slightly so handlebars don't hit

2nd Question-anyone have experience or knowledge on the brand I'm looking at

3rd Question-I would like to keep the trailer in the garage and keep the bikes in it when not riding. My thought is when we ride, and we do many times a week, we'd simply open the ramp and role on. When we get back, drive the bikes back up on to the trailer.

Appreciate any feedback.

You didn't ask about this but Baxley Trailers makes 1 or 2 bike trailers. Made in Dothan AL, have front wheel chocks on them and well built. Friend has the single version. I have a toyhauler for when I retire next year.

Never trailered my bike but I'd be surprised if you could ride your SG onto the trailer in your garage (unhitched) without it tipping the trailer back.

I have a 7x12 dual axle with brakes i bought last year. Have put mine and a buddys Ultra Classic in it but there is very little room left, they would not fit in a 6x12. I staggered these bikes also and have front wheel chocks installed. I let a friend use it and two Yamaha 1300s fit fine staggered. It would not have worked in a 6x12. I wish mine was an 8x12 now. Go with at least a 7x12 or you will regret it.

I have a Haulmark 6x12 single axle & I have hauled my Street Glide & my buddies Ultra limited. I took off my saddlebags & stored them in their own boxes. We staggered the bikes & they fit fine. A little tight but fine. Your Street Glide & Fatboy should fit even better...no batwing on the Fatboy.

I cannot comment on the 6 x 12 as I have a 7 x 12 dual axle. I added stabilizer jacks on mine so I could load/unload the Ultra when not hitched to a vehicle. I haul an Ultra and a medium sized non batwing bike with plenty of room.

I dont think you will like loading and unloading a single axle 6 x 12 unhitched. It'll work ok for travel but to do it all the time, it will get old real quick. I would leave the trailer outside and just use the garage for the bikes.

I have a 6 x 12 V nose, bike pro chock, fine for one touring bike. My next one will be a 7 x 12 or 14.

If you do plan on doing this, secure the trailer tongue and wheels, install some wheel chocks and get a good wide/flat ramp.

Even if they do fit, there is no way are you going to want to pull 2 bikes in and out of the trailer several times a week. It will even be a hassle with an 8ft wide trailer unless it's long enough to park them front to back.
