I just picked up my new 2012 Street Glide on Saturday and I want to get some opinions/pics of the highway pegs people are using. What seem to work and look the sharpest for everyone?
I bought a set of the "Longhorn Offset Dually" pegs from Kury. I have them set so that I can rest my heels on the boards and toes on the pegs. Along with the floorboard extentions, this makes a very comfortable setup. They are adjustable for any position, but this works for me.
The two most popular highway mount setups on the Touring models are the HD 360's (also marketed as Kuryakyn Longhorn Offset Mounts) and the HD Short/Long Angled Mounts (also marketed as Kuryakyn Tour Tech Mounts).
Personally, I tried the HD 360's and couldn't get on with them. Getting them close enough to the floorboards created too drastic an angle to the footpeg.
I have recently purchased a set of the HD Short Angle Mounts and will trying that setup when my HD Streamliner pegs are delivered tomorrow!
Had to exchange the HD long angled ones to the short. Pegs using the long mounts were too close to the toe shifter and brake pedal. Short ones are better for my needs. 5'11" with 32 inseam.

Depends on your leg length and your seating position. I'm 5'-8" and pegs mounted right on the bar are too far of a stretch for me to reach comfortably. I use the H-D 360 mounts:
Highway pegs are such a personal thing. You have to find something that works for you. For instance, I am most comfortable with my heels on the floorboards and the ***** of my feet on the Hwy Pegs. Then when I need to do an extra stretch, I can place my heels on the tops of the pegs. Just did 400 miles Saturday and I had all the positions I needed to relax my legs and knees as well as change the position of my butt to make it with just once gas stop.
Some like to do a full stretch all the time. I'd sit on you bike, hold you feet where you want them placed for relaxed riding and then get pegs that will support your feet where you are the most comfortable.
Nothing special about my setup, the 50830-07A Adjustable short Hwy Peg monuting kit and the 50133-95 Airfoil custom footpegs. It just works for me.
