Purchased in Sept '11-2012 Street Glide that now has 1,500 miles on it... and so far no issues other than the "brake" recall. Well...the exhaust sounds like my Grandpa's popcorn farts...if that counts as a issue? Can't decide on motor upgrades, but cat has got to go for sure. Here's my shopping list:
TTS-tuner,
Woods 555 cams and lifters,
JackPot headers with 4.5 pro touring exhaust, or K-crushers (I like the new JackPot 2/1 full stainless steel system, but can't get over the "left eye Lopez" look of a single exhaust pipe on a bagger),
Arlene Ness Big Sucker.
Oh yeah! It Tequila Orange too, musta been a good batch of tequila in the paint?
+1 on Badannas.
2012 Road Glide with 600 miles on her. She was trailored to the dealership today with a voltage regulator issue.
I had been sitting in traffic yesterday for about a half hour and when I made it to the parking lot where I work I noticed the battery light was on and the voltage gauge was reading 12 volts instead of the usual 14.
Yes, this is a real issue.
Yes, the dealership knew a bad batch of regulators were installed in the 2012 models.
Yes, the dealership is taking care of it.
Yes, I am still extremely happy with my purchase and can't wait to put some miles on her.

'11 RKC and '12 RKC - both great, not perfect but they are Harley's so That's OK. The '11 actually was very sensitive when I would try to get Neutral, the '12 is much better.
Plus the '12 has the Tubeless tires so I feel better about long rides.
Plus my wife says I look cooler on the '12. Should I believe her? When she asks me if her *** is geeting bigger I always say no...
I bought mine last August and the only problem I've had is a squeaky front fender. I been to Clevland,San Antonio,Abilene, and all total 7000mi with only the squeaky fender and the rear rake light switch recall. I'm very happy with mine.
I got my '12 SG last November. I've put 19,000 miles on it and not a single problem! All this talk about bad regulators, wheel bearings, compensators, and whatever else people are complaining about had me worried, but what the hell.. I have a warranty and I'm just gonna keep riding!!!!
I have had my front saddle bag mount come loose and my rear fender was touching the saddle bag support, so the dealer had to adjust it so it wouldn't rattle in the lower RPMs.
Other then that, the first 400 miles have been great.
My 12 ultra seems to be a LEMON numorus problems Voltage regulator , chrome bad , shifts extreamly hard , trans makes loud noises sounds like a diesel truck motor rattling and knocking, Took to dealer yesterday again, on the way home oil pressure dropped to almost zero. Will be checking in to lemon law . I love the way it rides and handles. Much better than the 08 i traded for it. Which by the way gave me very little trouble in the 40k miles i put on it . I want to keep a Harley, but with all these issues... i dont know!!!!
