Default Hogtunes Install

I have an 07 Street Glide. I bought the 'tunes speakers and am in the install process. I got the outer fairing off with no problem, but believe it or not I cant unsnap the spade connectorsfrom the speakers.

Either I ama moron (very possible)nd there is a trick? I thought I did the hard part taking the outer fairing off. Can you guys help a wrench challenged do it yourselfer?

They are really tight. I did an install on a friends bike and had to use two pair of needle nose pliars. Be very careful not to damage anything but you'll have to go for it.

Not sure what you mean by "unsnap". The spade connectors slide over the speaker terminals--TIGHTLY. My "trick" is to use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the spade lug off.

They were pretty tight on mine when i did it too. I was jusr careful with them and wiggled them until I got them to come apart. take your time, I am sure you will get it done.

Mine were super tight also, I used a pair of needlenose pliers to pull them off. Be careful, is you are pulling hard and they give way........$hit can happen fast.

Your pulling them off a set of speakers that aren't worth having anyway, so if you damage the stock set, so what, once you get the Hogtunes installed the old stocks will end up in the garbage anyway

I usually support the black cardboard "plate" the connectors are on with my left thumb and forefinger. Then I "loop" the wire around my right index finger and givera YANK. Ive done it enough times I know it works everytime

Later eh--and HAPPY NEW YEAR. Im goin on holidays Weds to Sunday. Will start posting after my liver floats back to where it once was

It's not often the guy who makes the product in question is available to offer tech support on a forum like this.
