Whenever it says "In case of emergency contact...." I always put down "A DOCTOR". What the hell is anyone else gonna do to help in that situation?
Mine is almost the same: In case of emergency, I put down notify "paramedics".
I am SINGLE single, never married, live by myself and my big fat lazy cat. No family, don't keep in touch with relatives, several friends and business acquaintances. I figure if I run into bad accident, my business partner/friends will eventually wonder where the hell am I.
I can't be more alone in this world. But then again, I lived a full live, I can go anytime.....
Ditto on the Dog Tag. I figure if I crash and burn, it will help them identify the remains. I sometimes text bros at stops while riding, most of the time it's just to **** them off cause they can't be with me!
But this has me thinking, alway have a thumbdrive in the stereo, so from know on it will hae my med history also.
Had a bud taken down last week from a blown tire on a semi, heard of the problem though the grapevine within 4 hours. He's doing as well as can be expected, layed it down on the interstate @ 70+. As of yet, they have not found his phone!
I was in an accident a couple of years ago and my cell phone was in my purse which was in my tour pak. The police used my phone to call my husband, not sure how they knew to call that number because I had him in my contact list under his first name.
Man I can't believe all the haters. First a few pound on the OP saying that they can't figure out the relationship part. Second they question if he is a rider. Then they don't understand why he's concerned. Obviously those that can't figure this out don't have 9 & 12 year old kids, or they do any really don't give a crap about their kids. It could be that they are past that time and don't remember what it was like when their kids were that age. Lots of compassion from these people. Maybe if more people were concerned about their kids like the OP maybe the world would be a better place. Just saying . . .

Thanks Rickl, I always try to take the good with the bad here. My boys are TOP priority here. My dad was a firefighter for his career and I remember when I was about 9, he got separated from his crew for about 12-18 hours in an enormous brush fire here in So Cal. My mom had a scanner and was listening to everything. He dropped his radio fighting the fire and got separated and continued to fight with another engine company. I remember that feeling that nobody could account for my dad. I was terrified. Im sure my mom could have done a better job guarding me from the information, but never the less, my dad was missing and nobody knew whether he was dead or not. I know riding is a risk that I choose and I ABSOLUTELY love getting on the bike and rolling out with no destination, but I'm just trying to be somewhat responsible for the limited amount of people in my life. My boys are the reason I get up in the morning, but I want to have a life too instead of sitting in a living room playing it safe.
I am a rider.....its my passion. I built my bike and learned along the way, I didnt buy it done. Riding and being responsible parent can go hand in hand in my book, thats all.
I am a RoadID wearer as well. Yes it has contacts, but it also grants 'consent to treat' nka, insurance numbers, etc. I want to be around as long as I can and it's cheap. Lots of the runners, riders etc wear them at work.
It would be a great asset if on star made an app for motocycles that detected crashes, it's a wonder they haven't tought of that, sure they would get lots of subscribers, that's crossed my mind before while out riding back rodes where there is little traffic. It could be quite a while before you were discovered, maybe someone from that division reads this forum and will present it as a project
That would be fun. Combine it with a tracker I would think. That way when the blasted phone does not do what you want it to you throw it in the corner and the EMS would show up because the app detects a crash.
How about the fire crew dredging the canals when you're drunk and drop your cell in the crapper?
Simple business card program for the computer & I made up some Emergency Information cards. Ran off a set for myself & my wife. Contains contact information, & medications with dosage. Laminated one for each of our wallets. I update them anytime anything changes. Pretty simple really..............
