In case anyone out there has been looking, I just thought I'd let everyone know that I just added a light module to my Street Glide. While the Harley parts catalog does not list a kit to convert the turn signals into supplemental brake lights with red lenses for the Street Glide, I found one that works. Thanks to help from our own StreetGlide2006, the Multi-Fit part (69462-06A) has the right lenses for the Bullet style turn signals and the proper connectors for the Street Glide wiring harness.
Just thought that I'd let everyone know in case anyone was looking to do the conversion with Harley parts.
I was looking at the part number you referenced 69462-06A - It says the following - NOTE: Does not meet DOT standards when installed on '04-later FLHRS, FLTR, FLHTCSE models, '05-later FLSTN and FLSTS models,
Any idea what about it does not meet DOT standards??
Also, wondering if it will fit on an 07 Road Glide?? Hmmmm....
When it comes to DOT standards, I have no clue. All I know is that when I turn on my bike, all three light up. When I hit my brake, all three get brighter, when I use a turn signal with the brake on, one of em flashes...What more is there other than maybe brightness ratings and stuff that bean counters care about?
DOT requires that the turn indicators be a certain distance apart (don't know what it is) when using the run, turn, stop setup.[sm=confused06.gif] That's why Harley has to say that they won't work on some bikes.
Fedreal DOT requires arun, turn, stop setup to be all red, so just installing the adapter kit without changing out the amber lens on the turn signals isthe possible DOT Violation. Becausein some states it isn't a violation, the Federal DOT writes a regulation, and each individual state then needs to adopt that regulation, by instituing a Statute, inforcable within thier Laws.
I got a kick out of the new module for my FLHR. I have the brake light kit now, but no running lights. Now they have that too, great. I have the narrow turn signal bar, but the DOT isn't a big concern.

Phrogman, Glad you were able to get the right one. Good idea to post it here. That`s what this place is all about.
