Default Lowering 2010 Street Glide

I have a 2010 Street GLide and I have had my seat worked by Mean City Cycles , but I still cannot quite sit flat footed on the bike. I am 5'7" with a 30 inch inseam. I think a inch or so would be enough. I am trying to descide if I should just put in a lowering kit for the shocks or actually buy a set of lower shocks. I am 160lbs and my wife is about 180 and most of our riding is 2 up. Part of the problem is I'm not made of money so I would like to get buy on the cheap or cheaper if I can. Thoughts?

I also strongly recommend bitchinbagger. I have had 2 sets of shocks done by them and they do outstanding work. On your Street Glide, get the 3/4" lowering, which will in essence be a 1.5" drop from a standard Electra Glide shock. This will put you good and low without causing you to easily drag boards or bottom out. This is the drop I am running now and I really like it. I used to have a 2" total drop and it tended to bottom a bit too easy for me to be comfortable with.

I would only recommend that u NOT use the lowering blocks. There is a long list of reasons why they are a bad idea. I also am impressed by the bitchinbagger shock deal is CHEAP when compared to my Arnott Aldans, the 12 1/2" ones that are 11 way adjustable as well as infinite preload with the air springs. That is more than $1200 that I spent. It handles atleast as well as before but now I can change the ride hight on the fly to suit my riding style and the road I am on... BUT U said cheap, and these were not that!

I did email the folks from Bitchin Bagger and will definetly check it out. How long did it take to get your shocks back?
