I have the HD Heavy Breather with large filter (the breather you're describing). I love it. It does put my knee out a little but I have a 36" inseam so I usually ride with my toes on highway pegs and heels on the footboards. Size of the filter itself doesn't matter unless you run lowers. With lowers you need the short filter but I think the full size looks best.

Never had an oil issue with this filter and I run my engine oil topped off.

Already been said many times here...any high flow filter will give you the same performance. Go for the look you want.

I just put the S&S tear drop on mine always liked the way it looks. At $220 it's pricey, but fits well and should work good.

I like my SE 'Ventilator'. I think it looks good, nothing sticking way out from the bike, K&N filter and it wasn't $400.00. Mine is the chrome version. Comes in black also.

Having recently changed from the SE HD 90* breather to
a RSD 'contrast cut', I haven't had the opportunity to run many miles
for an honest opinion between these two.

Reason I changed is I'm now running lowers with glove boxes,
and don't really like the look of the shorter element on the HD breather.

I guess this is one of the few things were performance is created equal. I like a different ones. Red is nice but I don't know if I want to drop that many bones on an AC. That's a nice came...555 which is next on the list. Decisions decisions decisions decisions

I was thinking of the Clarity as well. One question. What is the front made of, and more importantly, can you take it apart to clean it. If is somehow gets dirty, I want to make sure it can always be cleaned to look as good as new.

it is made of a lexan material they say it will not yellow and yes it is easy to clean the back side if needed. It is a matter of removing the five bolts that hold it on. Mine has stayed crystal clean on the inside.

I ran the DM powerpac for about 50,000 miles on my 04 EGC and liked it. One thing I liked about it was I vented the breathers to the outside so no blow by was going to the combustion chamber. I did have on of the power vents fail but I did get it replaced. by failing I mean the bottom fell out as they are a pressed fit.
